Yesterday, a coup was undergoing in the capital ,ankara , military personal, were blocking key locations of the city , armed vehicles ,tanks ,jets, were deployed as well , all part of an apparent coup attempt by part of turky's armed forces.

There was gunfire on the streets of istanbul, as the people tried to cross the bosphorus river , helicopters were seen overhead, and it was even reported that a fighter jet shot down a helicopter .
The turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoga ,spoke from an undisclosed location and asked the people to go outside and show support for the government, and he also said that the culprits are going to pay the harshest way for their attempt.

After that, the president landed in istanbul's ataturk airport ,and he said the following statement :
“There has been a movement within the Armed Forces starting this afternoon. A minority within the Armed Forces has unfortunately been unable to stomach Turkey’s unity. It was the [Gulen Movement] itself. This group has penetrated the Armed Forces and the police among other government agencies over the past 40 years. What is being perpetrated is a rebellion and treason. They will pay a heavy price for their treason to Turkey,”
Minister ahmet davutoglu stated that the coup is a failed attack on democracy.
